Bates Winter and Mistretta LLP located in Roseville CA has an immeadiate opening of a paralegal.


Paralegal is responsible for providing a variety of tasks which include maintaining and organizing files, drafting documents and summarizing records.  The most important role is to assist their attorney in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings. A large part of this consists of conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to the case. 

Order all medical records, bills, x-rays and updates
F/u with records received and find out why there are CNRs
Retain expert and discuss cases
Schedule IMEs, inspections, meetings
Send materials, records, bills and films to medical and any other experts
Contact vendors for statuses of reports/records/films
Contact providers for billing information
Schedule deposition of police officers, doctors and any other specialists
Save medical records/films onto G drive
Prepare deposition subpoenas and notices
Summarize/discovery materials, documents and pertinent medical records and bills
Research for special assignments locations of accidents/criminal cases/locations of witnesses/experts
Interview any witnesses involved
Set-up special depositions, i.e. video depositions, remote areas etc.
Trial/Mediation/Arbitration prep, including gathering exhibits, preparing exhibit lists and preparing trial binders.
